Bengaluru based startup BigBasket is an online food and grocery store with operations in over 15 Indian cities. Its last round of funding was in February 2018, in which it raised $300 million at a pre-investment valuation of $650 million. The venture capital funding round for this top startup in Bengaluru was led by the Alibaba Group and featured Sands Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Abraaj Group, and International Finance Corporation as participant investors. The company plans to become one of the top Bengaluru startups for 2019 and is in talks to conduct new funding rounds to raise more funds and get a new investor on board. BigBasket may soon join the unicorn club once the deal is finalized.
